Biggest Ethereum Whale Acquires 223 Billion of Shiba Inu after Robinhood Listing

According to WhaleStats, the fifth-largest Ethereum Whale “BlueWhal0073” has bought more than 223 Billion Shiba Inu worth over %5.7 Million. Along with this purchase many other traders have invested in $SHIB too, making it one of the most purchased asset in the last 24 hours.

This action has been the result of the much awaited listing on Robinhood trading platform.

About Shiba Inu

Shiba Inu is a meme based crypto asset created in August 2020 by an anonymous person or group known as Ryoshi. It is named after Shiba Inu, Japanese dog breed. This crypto asset is highly volatile and was considered as a pump and dump scheme by many investors. However, it slowly gained a big community and in October 2021 its value increased 240%. Later correction came and the token lost more than 50% of its value.

Ethereum Whale Acquires 223 Billion of Shiba Inu

The recent buy-in by the fifth largest ETH whale led to a flurry of activities and people jump in to buy $SHIB due to FOMO. Large amounts of the token were purchased in the last 24 hours making it one of the most purchased assets among Ethereum Whales.

WhaleStats is a tracking & analysis website where they track upto 5000 of the largest Ethereum wallets (also known as Whales). Their criteria include those whales who have assets value an average of $72,77,077 and hold average of 10,325 ETH, 2 Tokens and 1 NFT.

They keep track of the buying and selling by these Whale accounts. According to their website, the top 10 holdings have $SHIB at number 2, with the value of more than $13 Million at the time of writing this article.

$SHIB has moved to the fourth position now in the list of top ten purchased tokens from its earlier place at number 1.

Other large whale positions are in Polygon ($MATIC), Decentraland ($MANA) and Chainlink ($LINK). The whales’s investment came shortly after the surge in $SHIB volume over its listing on Robinhood trading platform. Addresses holding $SHIB for over a year have seen their balances rise by 57% in the last 30 days.

Shiba Inu Robinhood Listing

Robinhood announced listing of Shiba Inu recently. The token is listed on famous exchanges such as CoinBase and Binance too. The community of Shiba Inu has long been demanding for the listing on Robinhood. Along with $SHIB, Robinhood has also listed Solana (SOL), Polygon (MATIC) and Compound (COMP).
